Fall is a great opportunity for a fresh start. Many people use this time period before the holidays to get organized. These next few holiday months will be busy for your salon suite business so it is important to get ahead of the game! As salon suite owners, you know that maximizing your space is important. Below are some tips to help you get started.
- As Marie Kondo says, if it doesn’t spark joy, throw it out! If you have clutter or anything unnecessary hanging around in your salon suite, get rid of it. According to a study at UCLA, excess things in your surroundings can have a negative impact on your ability to focus and process information. This is true whether it be your salon suite, desk, closet, etc. The results of the study showed that physical clutter in your surroundings competes for your attention, resulting in decreased performance and increased stress. Marie Kondo says in her book The Act of Tidying Up, that “tidying orders and relaxes the mind.” So clear it out and simplify!
- Maximize your vertical space as much as possible and utilize the storage already in your salon suite.
