5 Ways to Collaborate with Your Suite Community

One of the amazing things about MY SALON Suite and Salon Plaza is that you can be your own boss! However, on the flip side, another amazing thing is that you are surrounded by fantastic people in the beauty biz who can help lift you up. Collaboration is one way to shine and stand out! And all you have to do is walk down the hall in your salon and see who you can collaborate with. Here are some ideas for working together with your community.

  1. Host events together– Host a Holiday or Girls Night Out event. An example could be a spa day where a stylist, a nail technician and a massage therapist could all work together. A Holiday event could be a fun Halloween event where clients can swap costumes or stylists and make-up artists can create some spooky ideas for your costumes!
  2. Refer clients to each other– If you are a hairstylist, keep it in the family and refer your client to get her nails done down the hall or have a massage with one of your fellow suite owners. Offer 10% off their next visit for booking within the community members.
  3. Social media shout outs– Take a moment and give a shout out to a salon owner who is killing it lately. Lift each other up! Use a fun hashtag, such as #ShoutoutSaturday for this.
  4. Try each others salons out and post about it on social media– Experienced an amazing massage? Got a beautiful manicure? Had some stunning extensions put in? Spread the word on your social media channels. Go “live”, take a selfie for “#SelfieSaturday”, or post a fun boomerang video of you visiting other Salon Suites.
  5. Create Packages- Maybe you want to go a bit further than just helping each other out and you want to create a package with your fellow salon owners. If you are a hairstylist, you can collaborate with a nail technician, esthetician or massage therapist and create a package for clients. For example, “Spa Day Package”, “Hair & Nails Package.” Promote your packages in your salon as well as social media, website and targeted emails!
