My Why: Getting Personal on Social Media

Sharing Your Why with your clients is important to your marketing plan. Clients like to know WHY you decided to open up your own business and why you do what you do. Your story and your personality are what separates you from your competitors. This combined with your skills and training make you stand out.

  1. Define Your Why.

You should be able to explain Your Why to your clients  Pick 3 main reasons. What is your why? What is important to you? Some examples could be:

  • Freedom
  • Family
  • To Be My Own Boss
  • To be Creative
  • Friendship
  • Work/Life Balance
  • Inspiration
  • Community
  • Giving Back

2. You can take Your Why and create marketing messages in your Salon Suite  Create a sign or a work of art which has Your Why listed in your Salon Suite. This can also be listed on your website, email marketing and social media. Go even further with this and make it more personal by creating a video for your website and social media channels explaining Your Why.
3. You can form a mission statement for your Salon Suite based on Your Why statement and then go onto create your brand story from Your Why statement.
