Your Daily 15 Minute Salon Marketing Workout Routine

THOUGHT PROCESS
One of the fears that keeps Salon Suite owners from properly promoting their businesses is the worry that they will have to commit hours and hours to salon marketing tasks. While it is true that some salon marketing projects take longer than others, it’s also true that you can accomplish many tasks in just a few minutes each day, especially if you establish a routine.

ACTION STEPS
Put your own salon marketing morning workout routine together so you can maximize results by spending 15 minutes every day promoting your Salon Suite.

Sunday Salon Marketing Workout

Use a simple “Showcase your products” MailChimp email template to construct a professional email newsletter that highlights 1 product, 1 service and a referral or new client offer. You’ll only need 3 photos and you will need to write about 2-3 sentences for each photo. You can do this! Schedule this email to go out on Tuesday at 10 AM to your contact list. (By the way – you can use MailChimp free of charge up to 2,000 contacts and 12,000 emails – a great salon marketing tool that might only cost you time!)

Monday Salon Marketing Workout

Universal Appeal and Positive Engagement: Create an inspirational quote image (or borrow ours) to share on social media this morning at 9 AM for #MotivationalMonday

Attracting Male Clients: Find a photo of a guy sporting great style from an online fashion, celebrity or men’s magazine website to share on social media tomorrow at 11 AM for #ManCrushMonday, reference how you can help someone “get the look” and invite them to book an appointment.

Attracting Manicure Clients: Find a photo of a trendy manicure to share on social media today at 1:30 PM (or 11 AM if you did not do a post to attract male clientele) for #ManicureMonday.

Schedule these social media updates to go out automatically using Hootsuite for free (up to 3 Social Profiles) or for $19 per month (up to 10 Social Profiles).

Tuesday Salon Marketing Workout

Engage Trendsetters and Show Off Your Expertise: For #TrendTuesday on social media, find a photo showing a trending style from an online salon, fashion or industry magazine and share a step-by-step “how to create the look” explanation, referencing any service or products you offer that might help. Schedule this social media update to be posted at 10 AM using Hootsuite.

Wednesday Salon Marketing Workout

Attracting Female Clients: Find a photo of a woman showing off trending or high style from an online fashion, celebrity or women’s magazine website to share on social media tomorrow at 11 AM for #WomanCrushMonday, reference how you can help someone “get the look” and invite them to book an appointment. Schedule this social media update to be posted at 10 AM using Hootsuite.

Thursday Salon Marketing Workout

Generate Goodwill: Today is #ThrowbackThursday (or #TBT). Use Hootsuite to schedule and publish a social media update at 10 AM using the #ThrowbackThursday and #TBT hashtags along with a photo showing how you and/or your Salon Suite participated in a giveback event in the recent or even not-so-recent past. Point out the charity or organization that was benefitted and let people know why this cause or event was meaningful to you.

Friday Salon Marketing Workout

Educate and Share Expertise: Write 1-2 sentences about “the one product” you recommend the most for client use at home, explaining who should use it, why and how for best results. Create a time-limited special offer for clients to add-on this product at their next appointment for a special price. Share this on social media along with a representative product or client photo, using Hootsuite to schedule this post for 10 AM.

Saturday Salon Marketing Workout

Extend Social Media Reach and Engagement: Take a selfie with a client today or do a client before-and-after photo set to post on social media at the end of the client appointment. Tag the client in the post for extended social media reach and use the #SelfieSaturday hashtag for additional potential reach.

15 minutes a day and you have talked about your Salon Suite’s services and products more than once, shown off your abilities with real client results, shared your expertise to become an authority in your field and demonstrated the values that drive you and your Salon Suite to make the world a better place. Not too shabby!
