Spring is in the air! Spring and “springtime” refer to the season, and also to ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection and regrowth. What better time to tidy up your business than spring? At home you will put away all of the winer coats, open those windows and clean your house to prepare for the spring season. Take that motivation and put it toward your business and do some “spring cleaning” of your own!
- Deep clean your salon suite. Yes, you do actually need to do some cleaning! But, it will be worth it. Take everything out of buckets and shelves and really clean your suite from top to bottom. Go through all of the products you have at your station and retail shelves and evaluate if they are still needed based on your clients. Find ways to organize your retail on your shelves and maximize your space.
2. Refresh your marketing strategies. Since spring is a time for renewal, take the time this season to evaluate your website and social media look. Refresh your look, colors or logo for a brand refresh. Next, reach out to your clients with a brand refresh! Offer up an open house for clients to come see your new look or point them toward your website/social media.

4. Audit your client list. Take a look at your client list and be sure that you are carrying the retail and backbar for your upcoming and consistent clients. If you haven’t seen some clients in a while, reach out to them with an email inviting them back in for a spring appointment. Let them know about new lines you are carrying as well to get them summer ready!
5. Plan ahead. Prom season, graduations, and Mother’s Day are all coming up soon! Be prepared and plan ahead for this busy season. Take the time to ensure you still get a break and add in a little self care to your “spring “cleaning” schedule!
