MY SALON Suite Celebrates Major Business Milestone

MY SALON Suite, a turnkey salon suite studios franchise that allows salon professionals to provide beauty services to their own respective clients, celebrates its 10th anniversary on October 9. Founded in 2010 in Metairie, Louisiana, by Alanna McAllister and her husband Ken McAllister, who is currently President and CEO, what would go on to become the national MY SALON Suite franchise system started as a local, family-inspired salon for beauty professionals. Before construction was finalized on their first location, the husband and wife team had already signed the lease on the second MY SALON Suite location. In 2012, with the opening of the third location in Sarasota, Florida, the brand was ready to take on the challenge of breaking into the competitive franchising industry.
“The beauty industry is a welcoming, but challenging, sector to find sustained success in,” explains MY SALON Suite CEO and President Ken McAllister. “Yet, the franchise business model of MY SALON Suite has proven to be adaptable and successful enough for us to be able to celebrate our 10th anniversary this month.”
From the launch of their third location in 2012 to the present date, MY SALON Suite has experienced record growth across North America. By joining the established beauty brand, Salon Plaza, under the umbrella of franchising subsidiary Suite Management Franchising, MY SALON Suite recorded 168 active salons in the middle of 2020, with their sights set on 200 locations by the end of the year.
“MY SALON Suite truly is the health and beauty franchise made for beauty professionals, by beauty professionals. Our private, luxurious salons are the perfect environment for entrepreneurs looking to make the jump into small business ownership,” says Ken McAllister. “The safety, personalization, and support afforded our salon suite professionals are second to none in the beauty industry, and we are excited to face the next decade as a unified team and franchise system.”
