Tips for Promoting Your Salon Suite Business Virtually

We know that this is a difficult time for salon professionals. However, there are ways to keep busy and work on your business from home. Geno Stampora from our Suite Elite & Friends webinar said, “We will all come out stronger with a stronger industry to work in with lots of newness to come our way.”  Square has laid out some great tips to keep up your cash flow during social distancing and closures. We’ve adapted their list for your salon suite business.  We are all in this together!

1. Communicate with your customersSend an email to your customers. Keep your customers up to date to let them know how they can support your business. (See Image below)

Update your booking availability. Make sure you have clients postpone their appointments instead of cancel. You will be booked and busy when stores reopen.

Create a custom message for your booking site. Add a temporary message related to COVID-19 to the top of your online booking site.

2. Consider alternative service methods. Change service booking options. Make any necessary changes to your services such as changing its location to be online only.

Try virtual consultations with video calls.

3. Maintain your cash flow. Enable digital gift cards. Electronic gift cards can help increase cash flow while your business is closed or affected by social distancing. After setting up eGift Cards, customers will be able to purchase directly from your online booking site. Be sure that your online booking site is live and you’ve setup card processing.

Consider prepayments for future appointments. With customer prepayment, you can have faster access to funds by requiring that customers prepay for fixed priced services when they book through your online booking site.

Sell your products online.  (See images below for ideas)

4. Keep Calm and Do Good Marketing.” With your time out of your salon suite, you now have the time to focus on your marketing efforts. Engage with clients, social followers and friends. Our friends at Oozle Media said to take the time to create the content you’ve always wanted. Build up a store of content so you’re ahead of the game. Think about your brand and how your social media looks. Making it look cohesive, professional and beautiful.
