Kevin O’Connor

Since 1982, Kevin O’Connor has been a fixture in the hair and fashion industries in New York, London and Atlanta. His influence has helped create salon and industry trends and his work has appeared in industry publications throughout the United States and Europe. Early in his career, Kevin began honing his talent with extensive cutting training at Vidal Sassoon in London. In Atlanta, he spent 11 years at Van Michael, where he created the salon’s first education program. Thanks to Kevin’s initiative and direction, the program has helped dozens of salons and hundreds of stylists improve their craft. Aveda eventually came calling and recruited Kevin to help develop the company’s education department in New York. In 1999, Kevin decided to pursue his mission to create Salon Next. His vision, Salon Next, opened its doors and quickly established itself as one of the top salons in Atlanta and the Southeast. Kevin is an expert in cuts and color and is certified in the Coppola Keratin Smoothing System, in addition to his education. After 18 years managing the operations of Salon Next, Kevin decided to redirect his focus to the more creative and artistic aspects of hair design. Kevin now welcomes you to Kevin O’Connor Salon, located in Salon Suite 201 on Peachtree Road at 28th Street on the street level of The Brookwood Condominium building in South Buckhead, Atlanta.
