The salon on Monday offered free back-to-school haircuts for elementary school students in exchange for donated school supplies.

MY SALON Suite, a salon suite franchise, signed an agreement with multi-brand operators and business partners Adam Teske and Ryan Wildy to open the Olympia location.

It’s the second Philly-area location for My Salon Suite, a national franchisor that’s turning the traditional salon model on its head. Instead of a large salon that employs a bunch of commission-based stylists, My Salon Suite turns individual stylists into business owners.
