Channel Randale

My aspiration to become a hair stylist started in my early twenties, where many of my friends trusted me to style their hair unlicensed.  During my young adult years, I became a mother to a beautiful daughter and a Postal Service employee. However, the ambition to become a hair stylist never escaped me, and in 2009 I adhered to that aspiration and enrolled in Pivot Point Academy in Bloomingdale, Illinois. I have been an employee of the US Postal Service for 25 years as well as a single mother. It was challenging to balance working in a salon, managing a full-time job, being a single mother, and finding time to date my now husband. However, with prayer and perseverance, I graduated in 2012 and became a licensed stylist.
Fast-forwarding to 2018, the yearning to work in a salon grew, so I applied to an opening with In Style Hair Salon—a salon inside Yorktown Mall’s J.C. Penney in Lombard, Illinois. Working at In Style Hair Salon allowed me to operate in an environment I’ve imagined since my early 20s; to gain and share techniques with my fellow stylists. As time progressed, another aspiration sparked in me to be a salon owner. On March 15, 2020, the Lord blessed me to start operating my own hair business inside of MY SALON Suite, Oak Brook, IL.
