My interest for permanent makeup started when my Aunt returned from Hawaii with permanent eyeliner. I was so intrigued and began to ask her so many questions. It was 2008 and I had just finished cosmetology school. II thought this was a perfect avenue to explore my artistic talent while implementing beauty. Shortly after I attended ACAS (Academy of Cosmetic Arts and Sciences) for permanent makeup and paramedical micropigmentation. It was there that I fell in love with permanent makeup.

The clients that I worked on in school had such unique stories. I’ve worked on a wide range of clients that can’t tolerate normal cosmetics, to post cancer patients where eyebrows never grew back after chemotherapy. It’s truly rewarding to see the transformation and hear how they love waking up with makeup.
Over the past 15 years, it has been so exciting watching the industry grow. There are always new products and techniques developing. I have learned to use innovative methods, while still sticking to the traditional roots of cosmetic tattooing. With continual education I’ve learned to perfect my skill, keep up with new trends and techniques.
A term used in permanent makeup is microblading. It is done by a hand tool with a group of needles in different configurations depositing pigments. This gives hair like strokes that are very realistic. It can be permanent, only needing touch up or darkened depending on how much sun the targeted area gets. Mapping the brow with microblading is the best way to determine the best shape for your face and bone structure. With eyeliner, it’s personal preference on thickness and length. Lip blushing can also be used to add a desired full volume look. With so many options, a consultation is highly recommended. During a consultation, you will see exactly what permanent makeup will look like and have a color custom mixed just for your skin tone.
